Consortium of companies of the ACA Group responsible for the renovation and modernisation of part of Sousa Martins Hospital.

In July 2022, the consortium ACA & IELAC was awarded the rehabilitation of building 5 of the Hospital da Guarda, for the installation of the Department of Child and Women's Health (DCM).

The building is composed by 2 floors above ground, distributing the services of Day Hospital, Pediatric Emergency, Obstetric Emergency
Paediatric, Obstetric/Gynaecological Emergency and Neonatology services on floor 0 and on floor 1 the Paediatric, Obstetric/Gynaecological
The technical areas are located at the level of the attic and floor -1.

The deadline for the execution of the work is 18 months with a completion date initially set for February 2024, however, due to the occurrence of some events, they conditioned the progress of the work, particularly the unavailability of the entire area assigned for intervention, which is why this date will have to be reassessed.

The demolition works were completed in mid-January, except for the area of the current paediatric emergency department, and at the present time the execution of the specialties and civil construction works are underway, such as plastering, application of ceramics, waterproofing, completion of the execution of the wastewater drainage networks inside the building and application of screeds on the ground floor, and the start of the exterior façade coatings and application of window frames is expected to take place soon.
